Most Valuable Teacher (MVT) Presented by Ford

The Colorado Avalanche are proud to celebrate educators who go above and beyond for their students. Through the Most Valuable Teacher program, one outstanding teacher or administrator from the Denver Metro Area will be recognized each month during the NHL season (October-March). Honorees will be celebrated at an Avalanche game, treated to a visit from Avalanche Ambassadors, and receive a gift bag and Most Valuable Teacher plaque. At the end of the season, all winners will come together for a special recognition night in a catered suite at an Avalanche game.

To be considered for the Colorado Avalanche Most Valuable Teacher award, nominees must be employed by a school located within a 30-minute drive of Ball Arena (1000 Chopper Circle, Denver, CO 80204). Selected awardees will receive the following:
- $2,000 Classroom Improvement Grant
- Four (4) tickets to an Avalanche game
- Pre-game dinner at Ball Arena
- Recognition on the jumbotron during the game
- Avalanche gift bag
- Classroom celebration hosted by Avalanche Celebrities
- Catered Suite with other MVT winners at the end of the season
